Park[ing] Day – ASLA K-State
September 21, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
“Park(ing) Day is an annual open-source global event where citizens, artists, and activists collaborate to temporarily transform parking spaces in to “PARK(ing)” spaces: temporary public places. The mission of Park(ing) Day is to call attention to the need for more urban open space, to generate critical debate around how to improve the quality of urban human habitat.”
On September 21st, the American Society of Landscape Architecture (ASLA) will participate in an annual event in which local community members, students, and designers transform parking spaces into temporary parklets. We look to install Park(ing) spaces along Triangle Park off of Anderson.
Organized by the Kansas State Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects partnership with the Kansas State Landscape Architecture, Regional and Community Planning Program.
