A presentation on production to installation of decomposed granite and crushed stone surfaces. Innovative and creative options for trails and pathways including new and improved choices for material and erosion control. Uncovering the advantages and disadvantages of different additives such as Stabilized and Polymer coated Materials.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the production process and the creation of the materials as it relates to choosing the right product for a given application.
  2. Identify the different aggregates available and the performance potential as it relates to color and material appearance.
  3. Proper process and methods for specifying installation requirements to the contractor.
  4. Additives such as Stabilizer Binders and Polymer: What’s available and do they work? What is the longevity of the different materials?

Course will provide 1.0 continuing education credits.
