April LINKS: Materials and Coatings

A one-hour program entitled “Materials and Coatings” covers site furnishings from sourcing the materials, to design to production and final product.

Learning Objectives:

1. Steel, Aluminum, and Recycling Metal: Iron ore mining and refinement process, steel production process, measuring units for steel and metal, aluminum usage and production process, and metal recycling for use in a finished product

2. Plastisol Coating: what is plastisol, applying it to metals, advantages and disadvantages

3. Powder Coating: what is powder coating, types of powder coating, advantages and disadvantages

4. Site Furnishings: creating a piece from start to finish, what to look for, and how to specify

Course will provide 1.0 continuing education credits.
