October LINKS: Meet the Urban Apple
October 1, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Please join DCA Outdoor, Gold level Sponsor for a wonderful lunch in the garden. Chris Oursler is from the ground up a Green Industry professional for 27 years. With a fine arts background, the abundance of Creation’s palette became his medium. From a seasonal laborer on a tree farm in 1992, to nursery stock sales to garden center management to materials procurement to project management to landscape design to product design and marketing, I have been mentored and raised by the industry.
Hitting on all cylinders, the Urban Apple is a fruit producing beast. The abundance of crisp and juicy fruit coupled with its compact columnar habit, the Urban Apple is the solution for real yield in environments where space is at a premium. This presentation will include the history, genetics, production, and design application of the Urban Apple.
Attendees will have an opportunity to tour Colonial’s 4200 tree orchard, and sample actual fruit produced on-site following the lunch presentation.
