"Celebrating our Landscape Heritage through Stewardship"

Landscape Architects are re-dedicating our iconic landscapes across the United States next month.  PGASLA will host an event in Wichita on September 07, 2012. Our message is: “Celebrating our Landscape Heritage through Stewardship”.

Please register so that our Public Awareness Team has a idea of how many members plan to attend.

The Riverside Parks system is historically central to the open space development that has occurred in Wichita for 100 plus years.  The parks provide a diverse range of opportunities for patrons to experience the outdoors and engage the primary waterfront of the city.  The re-dedication is also timely, as it coincides with the enhancements which have been made to the park in recent years.

PGASLA, with the City of Wichita, is pleased to hold a re-dedication ceremony at the park.  This event will coincide with the presentation of Julius Caesar by the Wichita Shakespeare Company as part of it's Shakespeare in the Park series.  PGASLA members and guests will gather before the production to provide beverages & ice cream to the public.  Professionals will be available to provide information about the park and will be available to discuss the importance of open spaces and the role of landscape architects designing those spaces.
