PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Old Chicago Post Office, The Meadow, Chicago, IL
Biodiversity reigns at the Meadow; with over 40,000 plants from more than 50 unique species, this patch of nature serves as an oasis in the urban landscape.
McGovern Centennial Gardens, Houston, TX
Contemporary updates of historic garden design principles anchor the landscape. The 350-foot-long Great Lawn was framed using axial principles found in traditional French gardens. The narrowing perspective is a visual play set up by the aperture of the pavilion and the height of the mount.
Post Houston, Skylawn, Houston, TX
The building’s green roof or Skylawn, as it is called, has become one of Houston’s most dynamic and unique outdoor settings. Comprising five acres atop the former post office building, the roofscape plays host to an array of functions including restaurants, event spaces, gardens, and will soon add an operating one-acre urban farm.
New England Farm
Spanning sixty acres on the Rhode Island coast, this generational farm’s landscape is infused with regional vernacular and relaxed comfort. New England Farm is a comprehensively redesigned site with expert attention to detail, crafting a landscape that looked as if it had been there all along.
Cascade House
Melding landscape with architecture, the landscape design team rewrote topographic history to create the illusion of virgin terrain through which architectural planes and volumes emerge like natural outcrops of crystalline bedrock at this modern residence in Chicago’s North Shore.
Woodland Edge Estate
The scale of this midwestern estate called for a landscape that imparted an established elegance. Mature plantings humanize the vastness of the estate and artfully knit the property into its surroundings.
